SETA-How to utilize mainstream literature to promote antiracism ideologies.

A major question among some English teachers is how to be antiracist and how to promote antiracism ideology. There is fear associated with tackling racism, how to be antiracist and what resources to use. This workshop will focus on utilizing the existing mainstream literature to address issues of race and promoting antiracism ideologies. Concepts like "White Savior" myth will be explored. The main text for this workshop is William Golding's Lord of the Flies.
